Wallachia – Horní Vsacko is the region known first thanks to its peoples´character and its inhabitants, always known as Wallachian. In Czech republic is the region Wallachia – Horní Vsacko associated with their historical tradition. They were the original region´s inhabitants and their lifestyle was associated with shepherding and the positive relationship to the natural wealth´s values in the region. In the present the region suceeds in maintaining in spirit the historical peoples´ traditions. The main priority of Wallachia – Horní Vsacko is the tourism and some associated activities and the infrastructure.

The microregion Wallachia – Horní Vsacko is situated on the upper flow of the river Vsetínská Bečva in Czech-Slovakia border line. There had been joined ten communities and towns to the geographical coherent territory in Javorníky and Vsetín´s hills. Thanks to their character these are convenient for all forms of recreation, sport and free time activities. These communities and towns´names are : Velké Karlovice, Karolinka, Nový Hrozenkov, Halenkov, Zděchov, Huslenky, Hovězí, Janová, Ústí u Vsetína and Vsetín. The largest town is Vsetín – the administrative centre of the region. The title Vsacko is historical derived from the title Vsetín.

In the region there is seen to the harmony with the principles of environmental protection because the microregion is situated in the territory of the protected scenic area Beskydy. From here our motto has arised: „Wallachia – Horní Vsacko – in the harmony with the nature, in spirit of freedom“. The freedom´s feelings and the nature´s touch is felt in every nook in the region. All the offered activities take place in the nature and they are intented on the healthy lifestyle. The region has a potential to become a great sport´s and recreation´s centre of the whole south-easter Moravia.
